For a long time now, I've been collecting and analyzing my games. All analysis is aided by a computer and I am most certainly a hopeless patzer. Some of these games are interesting, some are terrible, but all of them are mine and they live on this site so I can perhaps learn from them.
If you play through my games on the embedded boards, my commentary should be integrated in all recent games. Unless noted, all games are correspondence games.

Bring it on.
I'm back at school and once again have no free time. I am trying to keep up with my games and I've got a really great one going on against my husband, Matthew. I'm not sure how long it's going to take me to finish, but it's been a great game so far and I can't wait to throw it up here.

Spring Break!
Here's a brief update. This semester at school as been (without a doubt), the most intense semester I've ever had. Free time is a concept of the past and to be honest, I'm really afraid of what the end of the semester holds. I've been keeping pace, but barely. It's spring break now. If you've read "Ender's Game" (and you should), you might remember a scene when Ender goes home before the final conflict with the buggers. That's what this spring break feels like to me.
I've had six days without school, which is apparently how long it takes to catch up on all the house work that got thrown to the wayside (scrubbing grout is really not the same as floating on a lake in a hand made canoe). It is also the amount of time it takes for me to realize that I miss chess.
So, I am back if only for a moment before I get thrown back to the wolves. I hope to get an annotation or two going before time runs out. But, I'm basically back at it on Sunday and I have a few moments of fun & family planned as well.
Oh, chess.

Pushing Pawns.
I'm beginning to notice a pattern in my life. Chess takes over as soon as I'm not focused on school or work. Sherlock Holmes did cocaine when he was without work, I suppose chess is a much safer thing to be addicted to in times of listlessness.
I'm on break from school right now. It's nice to have some R&R, but I need something to keep me occupied. So, for the time being I'm back on the chess scene. I don't know if I'll be able to keep this up when the semester starts back up, but I'll be enjoying my time back during this break.
And, here's a quick game that I just finished. You'll quickly see why it's not analyzed. It was a nice self-esteem booster to get me over the hump that always happens when I come back to chess.

Status Update
Well, school knocked me out of my chess zone yet again. I'm back at it, with a couple months of summer vacation looming on the horizon. I've also decided to make this blog public. I avoided it for a long time because I know I'm not the greatest or smartest chess player (hence, the name of the blog), but I've decided that I don't really care.
Part of me feels like this site is like a blog of bad poetry--however, I'm not going to let that deter me.
It will be a little while before I post any more new analysis. I'm catching up on the 25 or so games that didn't get analyzed when I was whisked into the world of a six-week intermediate accounting class.
I'm also converting a lot of the playable games into the Chess.com viewer. I feel like I'm cheating on Chessworld.net, because I've been with the site for so long... but, the integrated analysis is just too cool not to use.
I'm currently playing around 8-games of correspondence chess, and when some of those wrap up, hopefully I'll get around to analyzing them. I do have a few school obligations left, but I'll be free and clear on July 14th.

Long Break.
With school back on I haven't had much time to think about chess. The semester is winding to a close, so I'm nearly as busy as ever, but I'd like to get back in the groove before the semester is out. I feel like it's been years since I've played and I'm definitely rusty. You can check out a FICS game that I played today and you will see that I do not lie. I am rusty as hell.
Well, hopefully there will be more games to come.

Back Again!
I told you I go through phases with chess. Funny thing is I always come back. It's nice having something a little bit constant in my life. I was working full time and that was killing all of my free time. I'm working a little less now and although the money is not as plentiful, I am a much happier person. So, back into chess I go. I'm definitely rusty, but I'll get it back.

Short Break
Well, I did what I always do. I overwhelmed myself with chess and then needed a break. This one was only about a month long, so hopefully I haven't forgotten all that I learned. We'll see. Working full time has been a big part of this, but when you want to do something you make time for it. Many of my games have finished up on Chessworld, and my rating has dropped back down to the upper 1100s. I'm not happy about this but now I have something to work toward.

Mission Statement
I put a lot of time into playing chess. I guess I've decided I should have some record of it. I'll probably just forget about this blog a few weeks from now. But, with the faint hope of following through on something, I'll give it a shot.
Lately I've been playing a lot of correspondence chess on Chessworld. They've just added a way to include an exportable pgn player for your games. So, I'll probably use most of this blog as a way to record that.
And that is all the introduction that I care to provide.
